About Faride Herran

I was born and raised in Mexico City. I entered the mental health field hoping I could gain some understanding about myself and my relationships. I practiced psychotherapy in Mexico for several years and moving to the United States was a difficult transition, both personal and professionally. I learned that life is a constant transition and that in order to be able to navigate it I needed to have good anchors. I believe change comes from establishing a unique relationship with the therapist that helps create a new relationship with yourself. Change happens when we can invent new solutions to old difficulties.

I specialize in helping people navigate relationships (with others and with themselves). I work with adults experiencing anxiety, relationship difficulties, life transitions, and people trying to find their place in the world.

As a child, I used to enjoy a game: burying what I believed were gems and digging them out. I believe there’s always a gem to be found in each person.
